This recipe provides excellent omega-3 fatty acids from salmon and fish oil for skin and coat health, with vitamin E as a synergistic antioxidant. The calcium-phosphorus ratio of 1.3:1 meets adult dog requirements. Protein and fat levels support maintenance for moderately active adult dogs. Always consult your veterinarian before switching to homemade diets, as individual needs vary based on breed, activity level, and health status.

🧊 Safety & Storage

Refrigerate in airtight containers for up to 4 days, or freeze individual portions for up to 3 months. Thaw frozen portions overnight in refrigerator. Always serve at room temperature. Wash hands and all surfaces after handling raw salmon. Discard any food left out for more than 2 hours.

⚠️ Recipe Drift Warning

Do not substitute salmon with raw or smoked salmon due to parasite and sodium risks. Avoid replacing sweet potatoes with white potatoes (solanine toxicity). Do not omit calcium supplementation as this recipe is calcium-deficient without it. Never use onion, garlic, grapes, or xylitol-containing ingredients as these are toxic to dogs.
