This recipe provides 45% protein and 25% fat on a dry matter basis, meeting the high nutritional demands of growing kittens. The 1.25:1 calcium to phosphorus ratio supports proper bone development. Taurine supplementation is critical as cats cannot synthesize this essential amino acid. Note: This recipe is formulated for kittens (puppy life stage equivalent) and should be transitioned to adult cat food at 12 months of age. Consult a veterinarian before feeding homemade diets to ensure complete nutritional adequacy.

🧊 Safety & Storage

Refrigerate portions for up to 3 days. Freeze in daily portions for up to 3 months. Thaw in refrigerator overnight. Serve at room temperature. Always wash hands and surfaces after handling raw meat. Discard uneaten food after 2 hours at room temperature.

⚠️ Recipe Drift Warning

Do not substitute taurine with other amino acids as it is essential for cats and deficiency causes blindness and heart failure. Never replace calcium carbonate with bone meal, which may contain heavy metals. Pumpkin cannot be replaced with other vegetables as cats lack enzymes to digest most plant matter. Egg whites must be cooked as raw avidin blocks biotin absorption.
