This recipe provides 48% protein on a dry matter basis, appropriate for growing kittens who require high protein for muscle and tissue development. The fat content of 22% DM supports energy needs and healthy coat growth. The calcium-phosphorus ratio of 1.4:1 is ideal for skeletal development in kittens. Taurine supplementation is critical as cats cannot synthesize this essential amino acid. This recipe meets AAFCO nutrient profiles for growth when supplements are included as directed. Consult your veterinarian before switching to homemade food and schedule regular check-ups to monitor your kitten's growth and health.

🧊 Safety & Storage

Store prepared food in airtight containers in the refrigerator for maximum 3 days. Freeze individual portions in ice cube trays for up to 3 months. Thaw frozen portions in the refrigerator overnight, never at room temperature. Always serve at room temperature or slightly warmed. Wash all surfaces and utensils with hot soapy water after preparation. Discard any food left out for more than 2 hours.

⚠️ Recipe Drift Warning

Do NOT substitute taurine with any other amino acid - cats cannot synthesize taurine and deficiency causes blindness and heart failure. Do not use onion, garlic, raisins, or grapes as they are toxic to cats. Avoid using dog vitamin supplements as they may lack taurine. Do not replace liver with other meats as it provides essential vitamin A. Calcium supplementation must not be omitted for growing kittens.
