🧊 Safety & Storage
Refrigerate in airtight containers for up to 3 days. Freeze individual portions in ice cube trays for up to 3 months. Thaw frozen portions in the refrigerator overnight, never at room temperature. Always serve at room temperature or slightly warmed. Discard any uneaten food after 2 hours at room temperature. Wash hands and all surfaces thoroughly after handling raw meat. Consult your veterinarian before switching to homemade food and schedule follow-up nutritional assessments every 2-3 months for growing kittens.
⚠️ Recipe Drift Warning
Do not substitute bone meal with eggshell powder without recalculating calcium content (eggshell provides different calcium bioavailability). Do not replace chicken liver with other organ meats without adjusting vitamin A levels. Do not use pumpkin pie filling instead of plain pumpkin puree. Do not omit taurine as deficiency causes blindness and heart failure in cats. Do not add garlic, onion, or excessive salt as these are toxic to cats. Any ingredient changes require recalculation of the complete nutritional profile.
